8 Bit Love have been not-so-quietly making a name for themselves across their proclaimed home of Melbourne during the last two years. After walking away from 2010 with a few cool trophies under their belt, such as an APRA Songwriters Award and the VicRocks Get Equipped Grant, this year they’ve managed to play some extraordinary festivals and support shows, get in the studio, play across the state and release the single 3:32. Nothing is getting in the way from doing what they love: making music and making people dance.

After sharing stages with the likes of Regurgitator, Jebediah, Tim and Jean, The Vines and Muscles as well as playing St Kilda Festival and Raw Vibes, 8 Bit Love’s year is only getting bigger. Coming up, they’re featuring in the line-up for Parklife, Melbourne, as well as getting out on the road in October on the Rubik’s Cube Tour across Victoria.

But before 8 Bit Love hit the road, they have managed to put together the catchy-as-ever double A-side, Rock The Digressers. Being lucky enough to again work with super-producer David Carr (Kisschasy, Taxiride, Big Scary) at Rangemaster, the guys are set to drop Rock The Digressers on September 17 2011 with a unique digital launch party.

Combining two of their crowd-favourite dance-along tracks, Rock The Boat and We Are Digressers, this double A-side will get stuck in your head from first listen, take this as our warning. These two tracks encapsulate the energetic, guitar-driven, electronic dance-rock that 8 Bit Love have become known for.

Pumpin' track, the site doesn't offer a 4.5 star rating, so 4 is what you get! Would love to get my hands on an original project to remix it!

I'd dance the shit out of this at a festival. Has hints of Art vs. Science. Like it boys!
