AMBERDOWN born in Perth are an energised rock group jam-packed with catchy hooks and licks bound to have u singing for weeks after your first encounter. Built upon the idea of "keeping it simple" AMBERDOWN deliver a sturdy supply of alternative-rock indulgence - both live and on record. Forming the band's roots in late 2002 guitarists/songwriters Daniel Connell & Jason Glatzer began bouncing ideas off one another in what started as a high-school lunchtime jam. With school out the way the boys began gigging in 2006 on the local pub scene, entering band comps and experiencing various line-up changes along with life's setbacks. After some welcomed success in the 2008 Emergenza band competition, the boys flew to Sydney representing Perth in the Australian final. Later returning home to reflect and set some goals AMBERDOWN teamed up with Perth's acclaimed Producer Ben Glatzer (Ammonia, Sleepy Jackson,Spencer Tracey, Cartman Ice Tiger. With Ben on board and the boys squeezing the most out of their home studio, AMBERDOWN embark on an explosive debut 5-track EP due to be released mid 2011. A following tour to Australia's capital cities is on the cards to put Perth on the Musical map once again. Stay Tuned.
