Hailed as one of Brisbane’s most electrifying live acts, Tin Can Radio are set to launch their self titled debut EP at The Hi-Fi, West End on Friday 17 July 2009 that will see the five piece band deliver a live performance predicted to spawn a dance frenzy, sending tremors through the city’s newest music venue.

Promising to bring an avalanche of heavy drum ‘n bass rhythms, discopunk and breakbeats to their funk laced, soulful melodic stylings, Tin Can Radio’s high energy stage show will have the audience partying and mouthing along to catchy hooks and light-hearted choruses.

Tin Can Radio will team up at their EP launch with some of Brisbane’s most promising indie acts such as dreamboat songster Dan Parsons, who will be showcasing tracks from his yet to be released album, and Last Dinosaurs, who are fresh from performing alongside the likes of Yves Klein Blue, Washington and Canadian alternative rockers Pony Up.

From humble beginnings as the house band at West End’s iconic Shire Teahouse, Tin Can Radio have quickly adopted a solid local fan base and recently gone on to deliver their infectious flavour of synth-driven indie dance music to huge audiences at music festivals such as Island Vibes and Woodford Folk Festival.

With a candy store assortment of track offerings that move through genres of Electro, Dubstep and Soul-Reggae grooves, Tin Can Radio’s debut EP already has the music industry predicting a devoted fan base to catch on as quickly as their alluring sing-along hooks.

“...this is a promising debut EP from the band. And, if they continue to make unique music, catchy riffs, and complex but captivating songs- like they’ve achieved on this release- then there will be no trouble in creating loyal and adoring fans.” FasterLouder.com
