Those three words sum up Empire Rising.

A fusion of hip hop, mashed with a smooth vocalist and hard hitting raps that could stand on their own. Empire Rising combines the power of rock, with the energy of dance and leaves you with a seamless sound that is uncontrived and always wanting more.

Based south of Sydney, ER were friends first, and a band second. This comes into play when writing and recording and that connection is apparent on stage. Famous for their live show, there's an unrivaled stage presence that can't be captured on tape.

2005 saw the humble beginnings of the Empire. From playing in a garage to playing sold out shows of 1000+ people, the band has been through it all. Continuing their assault on the sydney music scene, they've secured a slew of supports with the likes of Phrase, Horrorshow, and Astronomy Class and being handpicked by Lowrider for their massive hometown show in Adelaide.

Empire Rising is currently recording their debut album and have just released the first single from it 'the obsession'. The album is set to release late 2012.

They worked the early crowd at the Annandale like champions spitting out fast paced beats with fury and inciting a musical riot of foot stomping greatness. lovin' the funky feel to this song, it seriously makes you wanna groove! also love the drums, particularly in the intro.. nice one peeps:)
