Wishful is a three piece band from Victoria. The trio met at Queenscliff Music Festival in 2010, where their love of playing and watching music brought them together. Wishful writes their own original music, creating an interesting indie folk style with edgy pop melodies and harmonies.

In our spare time we enjoy a good road trip with Duff beers in the back and abusing the Nav-Man, or should we say; Super pushy Nav Lady. The occasional giant paper aeroplane used from McDonalds place-mats makes us smile. We enjoy the mission of finding a xylophone stand to use at each gig. It could be anything from a "wet floor" sign to a Coles shopping trolley. Our interests also include applying safe road rules, such as when it is necessary to give way to pedestrians. The classic dressups in onesies always get us going, unlike the awkward conversation between songs. We love watching Megan Gale seductively eat her pizza while we screw up our songs and pretend the reason she left was because her date was boring. One of our favourite past times is making a room full of drunken people waltz to a story about our neighbour and his dog named Dog. RIP Dog. We enjoy pondering the thought of what Samuel Humphrey wears at the beach... we doubt the fact that even Sam has any clue. Lastly but most certainly not leastly, we love playing and performing, to all those who are willing to listen... and even those who arent. Especially those who arent, for we will convert you! Our music makes us super happy, even with the occasional mimed lyrical dancing thrown into rehearsal before the percussion kicks in.
