Originally from Hobart, Hayley Couper moved to Melbourne with her guitarist collaborator, Michael Lindquist in late 2010, soon after formed a new band with Francis White (drums) and Kieran Daly (bass). With new members and a new sound, they decided to mirror the more collaborative efforts with a name change in 2012 to BAY of FIRES.

Late last year, the band teamed up with producer Woody Annison (Children Collide, Red Riders, Hunting Grounds) to record the new material. Described as somewhere between 'Mazzy Star meets Souxie & The Banshees". 'Turn to Wolves' is a superb five track EP that captures singer Hayley Couper’s haunting voice, as the band take the songs into a wonderful state of dark and dreamy rock. The first single 'Heartbeats' is available to download at www.bayoffires.bandcamp.com
