Jordan Millar and the Question (JMQ) are a 4 piece pop/rock/jam band outfit based in Sydney, Australia. Featuring Jordan Millar (Guitars/Vocals), Ben Dilger (Bass Guitar), Beau Golden (Keys) and Michael Avenaim (Drums), the group is influenced by Dave Matthews Band, Jimi Hendrix Experience, Ben Harper and John Mayer and since forming in January 2007, have achieved a lot in their short career.
In February ’07 JMQ went into the studio with Aria Award Winning Producer, Paul Mckercher (Eskimo Joe, Sarah Blasko, You Am I, Augie March) to record a 5 track EP. As the year went on they performed at the East Coast Blues and Roots Festival in April 2007, were declared winners of the Perisher Blue 'Launch Your Band' competition (June '07), and the Coca Cola Live and Local Unsigned Band Competition (Sep '07), and were top 5 nominees in the 2007 MusicOz competition (Nov ’07, pop category “Lost My Way”).

The first single from their EP, 'Ride It All The Way' received national airplay on triple j and was part of the national ad campaign for Perisher Blue’s Winter Festival.

JMQ’s impressive original repertoire, along with rave reviews for their jam band shows and musicianship, saw them head into the studio with ARIA Award winning producer, Anton Hagop (Silverchair, Powderfinger, Missy Higgins), to record their debut album “Lies In Translations”. Recorded over 15 days in December ‘07, the album contains 12 eclectic songs, showcasing the songwriting skills of front-man Jordan Millar and the musical complexity of ‘The Question’ who bring a life to the songs, not often heard in today’s pop world.

“Lies In Translations” was independently released on September 6th 2008, with national distribution through MGM. A tour supporting Brian McFadden along with a full east coast tour launched the album to a national audience.
