Sameera was brought up in a small town on the Murrumbidgee River. It was here she found herself transfixed to the television watching countdown emulating artists, trying to put her fingers on the guitar strings in the same manner and matching vocal for vocal some of the greats of the Australian music industry. Sameera then toiled with songwriting with her first album making it as a finalist in the 2006 APRA Professional Development Awards. The second album "Breathe" has been released and one of the songs off the album "what's your scene" has been selected in a worldwide release compilation CD titled "Goa Chillout Zone" with 10% of profits to go to Animal welfare organisations especially ones that fight against the fur trade. Sameera has just finished her 3rd album!!!"UNTIL IT"S TORN" 9-3-09
