"Part of the fun of seeing Andrew Zito perform is that you never know exactly what's going to play next - the versatile singer, actor, comedian, cabaret artist is trained in many instruments, and can play even more!"

Andrew Zito's style is so laid back that you'd never know how flawlessly his act has been refined. In cabaret, Andy has entertained packed houses, and just as thought they were getting an evening filled with piano and vocals, he'll pull out a guitar, a bass guitar, his piano-accordion, some percussion, a ukulele - anything!

Andy has remained a fixture in Melbourne's Live Music Scene since he was a teen, and featured in many successful acts, including hard rockers 'My Other Idol' and folk-pop group 'The Recliners'. He has only found true success however as a solo recording artist, releasing 3 independent CDs in the last 4 years. His first album, 'Forever Passing By' sold out its entire print run and his latest studio offering 'Shine So Bright' has captured the live sound of the unforgettable 6-month Melbourne pub tour for the popular 'Andrew Zito Band,' who were supported by many fantastic local acts, including 'The Restless', 'Pete Murray' and 'Anaphase.'

Andy's love for performing has led to his appearance in numerous musicals, locally and on tour, he has also appeared on the Original Cast Recordings for a number of local productions. Shows you may have caught include the Original Melbourne Production of Anthony Crowley's 'The Wild Blue' and 'Working' (Magnormos Musicals), as well as the Original Cast and Original Touring Cast of 'Martin & Gina'. He played the roles of Louis the Baker, and Museum Curator Robert Greenberg in 'Sunday in the Park with George' and was Noah in the Australian Premiere Cast of Stephen Schwartz's 'Children of Eden'.

A frequently hired session musician, voice over artist, studio engineer, producer and mastering engineer, Andy's studio experience has led to his own studio finding increasing success, especially in helping young, unsigned bands and artists create recordings that they can be happy with, and has allowed him to finance and produce his own recordings in house.

Andy is currently working very hard on his new album, which is due out later in 2006. The working title is 'Songs for Sensitive Ears' and it will be a collection of new material accumulated over 2005 & 2006, and will feature some of Andy's regular collaborators, Jacqueline Hoy, Amanda Hodder, Jane Patterson & Cathy Woodhouse, and a range of new and interesting guest artists.
