Velvet Mojo the funk based power trio formed in late 2003 starting off under the name of The Funkwits. Hoyo(Bass and vocals) & ex-member Funky Dan met during a music business course at TAFE and the two combined to form a band with a funky edge. Their music is reminisent that of early Red Hot Chili Peppers, Faith No More, Grinspoon, Incubus, Audioslave, Silverchair & Pearl Jam but mainly sound like Velvet Mojo.
