A gang of four buddies from Perth, Western Australia, Project Mayhem formed around their beloved underground rock’n’roll scene, in early 2005.
After giggin’ their arses off around town for around five years, Project Mayhem released two critically acclaimed EPs that combined their penchant for cheeky enthusiasm and rock’n’roll bad-assery.
In 2008 they took out the state-wide Next Big Thing competition and have followed-up with a string of increasingly awesome shows and, finally, their debut album.
Combining high energy punk with hurtlin' rock'n'roll choruses and epic riffs, this album is an entirely listenable and hugely catchy release. It's juxtapositions all round. More hooks than a Japanese long-liner. Punk edge routed in a definite pop sensibility. These guys know what makes music good. The lyrics alternate between good-time party anthems, and genuinely thoughtful post-Orwellian dissitation. There's a little something for everybody in this release.
A culmination and celebration of years and years of hard work, Project Mayhem is available nationally through Firestarter Distribution.

I have no idea who Ronald Andrew Taylor (24) is but it's a freakin' awesome song. Nor do I have any idea what's going on in the video. Maybe Benny Ma...
