The Wooden is a trio in their mid twenties from the Central coast and Newcastle districts,
They play a unique mix of what can only be described as Twisted yet danceable folk music.

The strength of The Wooden lies in the songwriting.

The frontman of The Wooden spent years perfecting his songs before playing them to anyone and has developed as a result of this somewhat different entry to the world of music a unique approach to the craft.

Eventually though, the songs were heard and encouraged by others... The Wooden was formed.

Currently about to launch their debut Ep which was produced, engineeered and mixed by Shaun the bass player and which was recorded in downtime at Cloud studios at Wyong on a shoestring budget. The Wooden are forging a new identity for themselves on the live circuit between Newcastle and Sydney.
