His award winning guitar skills are contemporary and innovative. His songwriting and lyrics are intelligent, self-reflective and at times brutally honest. His music is best described as guitar-driven Folk/Roots grooving with elements of Funk and Soul. Either as a session musician in the studio or on stage, or as a solo performer with his Maton Acoustic Guitar and Ellis Acoustic Stompbox, one thing is certain – Australian-born, Dale Willis works hard to deliver a livewire, heartfelt and memorable performance.

Dale takes the one-man band approach to the nth degree with livewire solo performances that have been leaving audience's jaw's on the the floor across Australia and New Zealand, the US and more recently in Canada.

Since winning the 2004 Australian Fingerstyle Guitar Championships, Dale has played and shared the stage with some of the countries most notable musicians including Our Lady Peace, Pat Robitaille, Dala, Wild T and the Spirit, Ross Wilson, Richard Clapton, Gina Jeffries, Serena Postel, Dan Frechette, NuFunk Orchestra, the Wailin' Jennies, Rae Spoon and many others with performances at the Winnipeg Fringe Festival, Brandon Folk Festival, Winnipeg Beach Hamlet Festival, Toronto Beer Festival, North Bay Heritage Festival, Yackandandah Folk Festival, Illawarra Folk Festival, Live in the Orchard(NZ), Collingwood Canada Day Celebrations, various City TV breakfast appearances, Molson Intimate Sessions tours across Ontario and more recently endorsing Australia's Cole Clark guitars and Ellis Stompboxes conducting demo clinics as a featured performer.
