Jordan D'Arsie writes words as he drives his beat-up 1964 vee-dub to pick up his girl. He reaches across the room and unlocks the case of his fave guitar, made by an Italian accordian company when sales of squeeze boxes hit bottom in the 60's. It’s all manner of metallic and sparkles, with eccentric knobs and dials. He arcs it up and it cranks out a sharp chord or two, with feeling, riding with the words, he dives across a lyric, forced out from the night before. Its like the way bowie used to play sax. There's an atmosphere here, as he wrestles with original thoughts and takes a position on the room, the view outside. Something familiar in all this manner, something that goes directly to the song and the heart. They rock, they caress, they are your friend and they are about you. Then he smiles and laughs and falls asleep on the silver keys. The computer is stuffed but the songs are magic. They've got irony and wit and are in the moment, thank god. The sound is energetic and sometimes lazy and full of space. There's no point listing who he likes, its a long list, there's all the obscure greats and its like he's found some of their shoes, new, still in the original boxes. He walks, across time, with them but without any of the PP's caused by the dud lifestyle. He's interested in your "behaviour", and spelt incorrectly for the dictionary.
