Tyger Tyger are Adelaide's most notorious live act right now. Known for their wild and unpredictable shows, this six piece Indie-Funk group are turning heads wherever they go, tearing up dance-floors, and leaving punters asking "What did that guy just say?".
Williamsons lyrics are painfully specific. Songs like the un-adulterated 'Front Seat of Car' and the eerily catchy 'Play Rough' speak out to his generation in our age of online communities, where there are no secrets and nothing is sacred.
Since their first sold-out show in December last year, Tyger Tyger gained popularity in leaps and bounds. The band opened up for Sugar Army, and earned itself a spot on the Adelaide Uni O Ball line-up along side some of Australias best bands, such as Jebediah, The Cops, British India, and Koolism.
"... after months of gigging and building a reputable fan base, the burgeoning indie funk troupe have now ridden the indie wave crest to the top of the Adelaide music scene". - dB Magazine.
Tyger Tyger launched it's debut CD "Come Like 1000 Doves" to a capacity crowd at Jive, with over three-hundred people in the venue, leaving many unlucky punters to line up in the cold July night.
"... in a year or two they'll be freaking huuuge! Go see them now, before they go and fuck it all up!"- SPOZ's blogspot.
Adelaide's most talked about and over photographed band just got louder.
And don't forget, there's no 'I' in TYGER!
