Sydney born and bred and an occasional West Australian resident, singer-songwriter Rory Faithfield is described as "Power Acoustic" by the Irish Independent, and "invigorating and inspiring" by The Irish Times.

'Songs For Sooner', the new album from Rory Faithfield is scheduled for independent release on 15 Feb 2010. Featuring the latest radio single, ‘Born In Sydney Town’ (as heard on Triple J's Roots n All) and recorded in Ireland with a full band, including Nick Scott (Van Morrison) and Johnny Boyle (The Frames).

The West Australian newspaper remarked of a previous release, that “this is beautiful, straightforward storytelling, saturated in Irish folk traditions but with a keen edge born of Faithfield's days as a punk rocker in Sydney. I was reminded of Paul Kelly's more lyrical excursions, which is a high compliment”.
