Satori is a Zen state of awakening – it is a strong emotional experience, a deep feeling of oneness, or a flash of sudden insight or awareness.

The sATORI sOUNDMACHINE is a studio project developed by a passionate music lover and record collector Scott James (aka funknbeats) as a platform to experiment, record and release electronic orientated soundscapes and dancefloor trajectories as an independent artist.

The project has evolved naturally over many years from a passion for music to a self titled ‘sickness’ which includes a fetish for vinyl records, classic synthesizers, record production and music technology.

Scott now spends most of his time avoiding daylight, paying jobs, and non-music like activities in order to complete future sATORI sOUNDMACHINE experiments worthy of release.

Thanks for listening and stay tuned..

New Dawn
rating:  4/5
great to hear someone in the electronic charts is thinking outside the box and using authentic sounds. really cool down-tempo moby/prefuse 73 vibe.

New Dawn
rating:  5/5
Very smooth, chilled-out grooves and I love the young girl's story weaving through the mix. Reminds me of Endorphin. Very tight production, well done.
