Strike X is a band kicking and screaming from the ‘Copper Trangle’, a district on the Yorke Peninsula. They have been together for approximately three years and consists of the classic line up, (Guitar, Bass, Drums & Vocals) :

Jake Daulby – Bass Guitar / Lead Vocals

Sam Perry – Lead Guitar / Backing Vocals

Kyah Hitchen – Drums / Backing Vocals

All three members are aged 18+.

They play a range of different styles of music, consisting of a vast repertoire of original compositions and cover songs. The main styles covered are Rock/ Punk/ Alternative. With influences ranging from Rise Against, Nirvana, and the Electric Mayhem (The Muppets), their sound is an awe inspiring serve of Awesome. From catchy punk riffs and lyrics that will get the audience up and singing after hearing a song for the first time, to epic pieces that that will blow them away. This power trio really knows how to rock a crowd.

In 2008, Strike X recorded their first 5-track Demo CD ‘Nothing to do with Bowling’ with Majestic Audio. The Demo consisted of four original tracks;
- The Bowling Song
- My Juliet
- Don’t Wake Me
- Friends Forever

The Disk also featured a cover of the Ramones hit ‘Blitzkrieg Bop’.

In 2008, the band filmed their own Music Video to the song My Juliet, which can be seen on their MySpace page and YouTube.

In 2008, Strike X also won the Balaklava Eisteddfod Rock Band Division as Senior Rock Band Winners and Overall Rock Champions.

In 2009, Strike X competed in BOB Fest ’09 (hosted by Northern Sound System) and finished overall in Second Place by one point.

Strike X is currently in the process of recording their next EP ‘Unbalanced’. Their First three Demo tracks can be heard on their MySpace Page. These are titled;
- Never Again
- Unbalanced
- The Weekend

Strike has also submitted these three tracks onto Triple J Unearthed, where they were all in the top 100 overall for about 3-4 weeks, and were in the top 25 rock charts for about 2 weeks. Their songs are now all in the Triple J Unearthed High top 50.

Currently Strike X has entered to National Competition, MY SCHOOL ACT, where the band has created another music video to their own song ‘Unbalanced’. If they make it into to top 10, they will go to Sydney where they can then be in the chance to win a recording deal with Sony Music.
