1991
A77 members co-star in Sunday school musical – My way or Yahweh. Timmy Mac plays Naaman, Nick plays Elisha’s servant, Timbo is a sheppard boy, and Nath is out the back smoking.
1997
Existing line-up plus Matt Belousoff begin jamming on U2’s I still haven’t found what I’m looking for. Matt pens the band’s first original songs but soon moves on. Today he lives in San Diego, researching a cure for AIDS – he’ll be meeting Bono a long time before we do.
1998
Nick steps up to the plate as singer/songwriter and the band is dubbed wordsofwisdom.
2000
2 battle-of-the-bands wins lead to an EP recording. The wordsofwisdom EP sells 50 copies at it’s launch… we’re not sure what happened to the rest of them.
2002
After more than 50 wordsofwisdom shows, the band re-names to Ambassador77. An Arts Victoria grant funds a new EP – Transaction Approved, produced by David Carr (Antiskeptic’s main man). A77’s songwriting chemistry comes alive for the first time.
2004
After an extended period of pursuing girls (Apart from the drummer who pursued trail bikes instead...), the band re-convenes with Phil Gaudion (Drummer of Grammy nominated Paul Colman Trio) to produce the double A-side Fragile / The Good Times. Both tracks get featured on the Austereo network’s Australian First show.
2005
The band gets busy in the Melbourne pub scene playing over 30 shows around Melbourne, touring regionally and interstate. A shout goes out to Mark Tinsley, A77 manager during this period.
2006
A77’s songwriting gets noticed by Melodic Music Management, and the winter is spent hibernating in pre-production for a new release. Recording sessions begin at Basin Records in September and continues in December.
2007
After some final touches A77 release This is Your Invite their second EP. September sees the band share the stage with Oz rock legend James Reyne and young guns Evermore.

That’s it for now… stay tuned.
