Before we go into the bio, thanks for all our fans on myspace and facebook that have registered and voted for us. If you havent added us on facebook get onto it, look up MIRAMAR!

It all started with Traygo Stewart on the drums, Mitch "howie" Anderson on guitar, John Matzen on bass, and Ryan Wilson on the keys. Without going into too much detail these boys all grew up together, played footy together, surfed together and in some cases lived together. Towards the end of high school the boys shared an interest in music and started a garage band at Wilson's parents house. It was instrumental and nothing serious. After a couple of months, the boys put together some cool tracks and thats when they decided they were ready for vocals. A few singers came and tried out but wern't what the boys were after. Then one day, a cool guy called Craig Paterson with an awesome versitile voice rocked the shit out of all there songs. The boys were blown away with Craigo's voice, "sent from heaven yet when unleashed you could easily believe he was straight from hell". The newly elected singer instantly geled with the boys and also became one of there good friends. Miramar's sound went from rocky, alternate and a bit funky to a more heavier ambiant metal/rocky feel. This is how Miramar was born.

The guys from miramar have vast musical backgrounds and are influenced by a wide range of genres including Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, Experimental, funk, Classical and Pop.

MIRAMAR are a 5 peice band with a powerful thick sound. Touches on harsh realities and issues faced by individuals and various people around the world. As the global recession impacts in a bad way on billions of people there are a minority who are increasing there wealth and their assets through others suffering and their financial decline. The thin line between wealth and greed is crossed. These powerful subjects are reflected through Craigo (singer), the emotion of the band and the lyrics they represent. The bouncy riffs, the contrast in there music, the uniquely hard rocky beats and unexpected is what makes MIRAMAR a band to be recognised, one to keep your eye on and to get there debut album in your hands.

Recently got to number 1 and number 2 on triple j unearthed with smash hits "so far gone" and "tonight".

Miramar put it to the crowd with there live shows and don't hold anything back when performing so make sure you get to a show sometime soon.

MIRAMAR have just released there debut album "Fight Lights Up The Skies". OUT NOW!!!
