Jo Caseley is a compelling storyteller who accompanied by her acoustic guitar and harmonica, delivers honest and humorous, thought provoking songs.

Her second full-length album “Dusty Dirt Track”, produced by Michael Carpenter of Love Hz Studios, is due for release in November 2010 under her own Independent record label, Flynnella Records.

A 2010 Musicoz Awards Top 10 Finalist with the forthcoming album song “Happy”, Jo Caseley is set to be the girl to watch in 2011.

The 12 self-penned songs are clever, catchy and refreshingly different. Caseley’s voice is settled yet distinct. Carpenter has masterminded the perfect selection of instruments to marry this fine fusion of folk/pop/country. The album flows beautifully and takes you on a musical journey. You’ll hear diverse influences such as The Waifs, Kasey Chambers, Paul Kelly, Jewel and Sara Storer.

Raised on a bushland property backing onto picturesque Wagonga Inlet in Narooma on the NSW far south coast, Jo had the beauty of nature to influence her early musical journey as a songwriter, and performed her first original song at just 16.

After moving to Sydney, she began busking the city streets and landed her first gig at a little bar called Round Midnight in Kings Cross. This dramatic culture change from the country, to Kings Cross, has greatly influenced her music, and nostalgic tales of this period of her life are often heard in her songs today.

Returning to her country roots and now living in the Southern Highlands, her second full-length album, (aptly named Dusty Dirt Track), is a great reflection of her life to date. The title track reflects: “The city streets are a busy busy place. Lot’s of people, they’re all in a hurry. But for such a busy place, with so many people, it sure feels lonely to me…”

Whilst a familiar face at many festivals and public venues across NSW, Jo was recently invited and performed songs from her debut album, Magical Garden, at a live-to-air performance at Casanova’s in Makawao, Hawaii. Magical Garden, an earthy acoustic album of folk/roots music, continues to receive airplay from local, national and international radio stations, and three songs from the album featured in Triple J’s top 20 unearthed charts.
