The title ‘Blackwater Riff’ was given on their first show and in early 2009, Blackwater Riff’s laid back approach helped them to secure a spot at Summer in the Vines, playing to a 1000+ festival goers.
The ‘Set me Free’ demo was recorded and freely distributed at shows and to follow, Blackwater Riff have now played at some of Melbourne’s most renowned venues, with such young local acts as... Mirror House Antics, Future Love, Alpha Remedy, Heartless Vendetta and the JSB’s.
Towards the end of 2009, Blackwater Riff supported such Australian touring bands as The Beautiful Girls and You am I, they are now back in the studio, recording and polishing off a fresh demo.
With some new tunes and upcoming inner-city shows, Blackwater Riff are preparing to turn some heads in early 2010.
