UNCLE CHUNK is comprised of brothers Mike Russo (guitar/vocals) and Marc Russo (drums/vocals), with Rohan Drew on bass. Formed in 2001, the UNCLE CHUNK line up has changed only twice - when they decided to take a new direction in vocals in 2005, and recently to replace their bassist. The band has played extensively throughout the underground metal scene, with their live performances renowned as a phenomenon that simply must be experienced.

UNCLE CHUNK’s latest EP Join The Dots was launched at the 2008 Melbourne Fringe Festival. It features four tracks that were produced by drummer Marc Russo, at Beveridge Road Studios in the Dandenong Ranges. Join The Dots combines downright ridiculous, tongue-in-cheek fun with the highly skilled, inventive musicianship that all UNCLE CHUNK fans have come to expect.

UNCLE CHUNK began as a screaming high-energy four piece, playing a weird and wacky metal show. They cut 3 EP's between 2002 and 2004, played some big shows and drew plenty of fans. In 2005 their singer Dave Saddington departed the band, and with him the intense screaming disappeared. Mike, Marc and then-bassist Chris Laidler took a long hiatus from gigging, and developed a new style of heavy instrumental music. They cut a 4 track instrumental EP Tomato Salad in 2006.

In 2007 the band developed their glorious, multi-harmonic vocal style and never looked back! The result is a stunning mix of inventive writing. The sound is refreshing and gripping, proudly allowing all music lovers to access the world of CHUNK.
