BIO: Formed in late 2006, The Domestics have been creating originals since. After coming out of hiatus in January 2009, they have since graced venues all over Sydney. To date the band has played at many of Sydney's premier venues including The Annandale Hotel, The Hopetoun Hotel, Oxford Art Factory (including an appearance for the venue's 2nd birthday after a succesful Friday night June residency), The Lansdowne Hotel, and the Gaelic Club. Additionally, they played at the Manly International Food Festival and on the main stage at the Newtown Festival. By infusing Funk, Pop, Ska, Rock and Soul, and exuding a passionate, energetic, feel-good vibe, the band has wowed and excited audiences making the eclectic mix of individuals in the band all the more commited to creating unique and unorthodox music.

"They have an electric passion that pervades their performance space... their music becomes a unique yet unpretentious soundscape that could see these guys connecting with a wide variety of audiences" (Music Feeds March '09).

"They perform like an international act but they are The Domestics." (Dan Ilic '09)

"Consisting of seven musicians with a comically diverse range of influences, anyone who listens to the band will immediately realise they are dealing with seriously skilled musicians. The Domestics' experience ranges from upbeat big band tracks that are heavy on the brass, to moody pop/jazz numbers that make you want to be in an seedy, underground jazz club, swilling scotch and smoking cigars with the mafia." (Honi Soit, May '10)

Expect some big sounds and some huge shows before the year is out.
