Timothy Carroll returns to Brisbane having spent 12 months based in Sweden playing shows in Paris, Berlin, Dublin, Stockholm and the Glatonsunbury festival in the UK. While overseas Carroll also wrote and recorded a collection of new demos in Stockholm and Berlin and is currently preparing for a mid year release of his sophomore album.

Carroll’s next record sees him teaming up with increasingly reclusive producer Matt Redlich (Hungry kids of Hungary, Ball Park Music, Emma Louise) and pushing into heavier electric pallet of tones influenced by the duelling guitars lines of Neil Young and driving melodies of acts like MIdlake and Villagers.

The first release ‘If I were you’ is a freight train of a song building layer upon layer of sounds in union whilst Carroll's stark vocals invoke scenes of storming seas and bolting mares.

Accompanied with a filmclip by renowned filmmaker Tim Lovett of Breeder Studios the track will see Carroll touring the East Coast and is available for free download here.
