Rowey G instantly captivates her audience. Her emotive deliverance of melody resonates a peculiar warmth, her impassioned expression reveals the depth of her spirit. In her original tunes, ranging from finger-picking ballads to folk inspired pop, this Adelaide based singer – songwriter discloses intimate stories of love, loss and life.

Rowey G enchants live audiences with her vocally driven tunes as she quavers effortlessly through a three octave range and uses the warmth of her angelic tones to create spine tingling plateaus.

Currently fronting local Adelaide band The Tangerines, her reverence for the soulfully raw, acoustic sound brings a particular grace and ethereal quality to the stage as both a solo artist or in ensemble form.

In 2005 Rowena Garcia won a Star Encouragement Award with “All Wrapped Up” winning most popular song voted by the audience at SCALA’s festival of original music song competition (FOOM) and most recently winning most popular song for “Love Mustard” in the FOOM 2006.

The past year has seen her participate Mullet Festival 2005, SCALA FOOM Festival 2005, Off the Couch 2005, Feast 2005, Mental Health Week 2005 and Blind Sporting Council Awareness Week 2006.

She dedicated the first part of 2006 to recording and continues to play frequently around Adelaide live music scene.
