PERIAH are the new sound of heavy Australian rock. They are a four-piece alternative metal band hailing from the Blue Mountains, NSW.

Blending powerful, heavy sounds, with intricate melodies and harmonies, they emerge into Australia’s rock scene with a sound unrivalled by any other.
Since day one they have set out to create new music with passion, meaning and purpose. Music that creates image and feeling for the listener.
Their strong, unique music has been turning heads in the Sydney live scene, leaving those who hear them needing more.

Formed in 2004 and emerging into the live scene in early 2006, Periah have already gathered a strong following with word spreading fast. Their strong work ethic, and creative ability have gathered them the respect and admiration of both the listening public, and their musical peers alike.

They now come armed with their debut 6 track EP “Conversations”, recorded with Dave Petrovic (Cog, Tylers Riot), and mastered with Rick O’Neill (U2, Aerosmith, Silverchair).
They have recently signed a distribution deal with Amphead/The Orchard for the release and distribution of “Conversations”. It will be available in stores, and online April 12th through Amphead/The Orchard.

“Conversations” is a sound to match the best, and is sure to impact on the Australian rock scene with a bang. Keep an eye out for Periah..
