With a flair for putting on live energetic shows with music that touches an audience both young and old, The Floating Bridges have made a reputation as being one of the most exciting, determined and focused bands to come out of South East Queensland!
Forming in mid 2009 The Floating Bridges in their short journey so far, now find themselves on the verge of becoming a major driving force in the Australian music scene.

Blending an array of styles, The Floating Bridges take on influences from Roots, Reggae, Funk and Rock, combining their passion for indigenous culture and social justice to create a fusion of sound driven by earthy beats and Latin percussion. Currently one of the hardest touring bands on the Sunshine Coast, The Floating Bridges have rigorously toured the East Coast and played venues and festivals between Port Douglas in the North, as far south to Melbourne.

With a huge list of shows and supports to their name already, The Floating Bridges have enjoyed playing as support for John Butler Trio, Jimmy Barnes, Josh Pyke and Xavier Rudd.
With two earlier E.P. releases, their latest singles Freedom and Foreign Land have both received air-play on Triple J. The band has just released their first full length album – Chasing sunsets - in June 2012. This recording will boast some of the finest tracks the band has written in the past 12 months and will showcase the energy and variety they have become so well known for.
