black bird hum
Genre: Roots, Pop
Region: Sydney, NSW
Members: Jon Panic - vox/guits; Angus Kirkby - horns/sounds; Dan Biederman - pianos/keys; Scott Gregory - trombone/vox; Tom Bamforth - bass; Ryan McCourt - Saxophone
Sounds Like: Fat freddys Drop, John Butler Trio, Mozart
Influences: Earth, Friction, beats

Formed in honour of the ocean and earth, these gentlemen create sound stories; weaving the elements and the everyday. Using trumpets and trombones, an assortment of guitars, keyboards, synths and drums – the
resulting soundscapes shift between dreamy, dolce, dry and dark.

Following a tumultuous 12 months of writing, recording, re-writing and re-recording, the result is music with innocence, poignancy, and beauty - like somehow all could be resolved within the corridors of their melodies.

Referred to by some as the music Mozart would scribe were he not resting, the group prefers a more solemn description; a sound inspired by the trips, dips, kicks, events, earth and people we meet.
