Justin Taylor was born in outback New South Wales and began playing the guitar in his teens. Upon moving to the “big smoke” he discovered an infatuation with song writing brought on by the loneliness occasioned by city living.

In 2003 armed with a sensitive back catalogue of acoustic material, Justin set forth to bring his music to the world, all the while continuing to evolve as an artist, musician and wordsmith. With his solo acoustic shows summoning a mighty array of emotions in both performer and listener alike, the depth that could be added by a band was the next natural progression.

In 2006, in a small studio, the sounds of Justin Taylor & the Electric Mayhem were blasted across the Adelaide airwaves for all to hear. The rest, it is hoped, will be history.

Whether gracefully coaxing loving sounds from an acoustic guitar or tearing open the space time continuum with his raucous lap slide antics Justin Taylor is a songwriter, singer, musician and music enthusiast attempting to craft a undefinable sound taking who ever will listen on a sonic journey of influences from the 1960’s to today, all the while remaining distinctly true to himself.
