Tired Lion emerge from the streets of Perth with an obscure, ambient yet aggressive sound. Some have described the collective as the bastard love children of alternative bands from the last twenty years. These young musicians show a well thought out sense of song craft, balanced with the raw edge and atmosphere that is captured in a live show.

Off the back of numerous supports Tired Lion are set to hit the stage at HOMEBAKE 2012 Festival which will be a great launching pad for their debut EP set to be released in 2013.

Recently Tired Lion have recorded their debut single ‘For the Wolfman’ with producer Andy Lawson (Eskimo Joe, Little Birdy, End of Fashion, Basement Birds etc). The click between band and producer is really felt on this record, and the tracks addictive euphoric melodies will leave any listener mesmerised. With dainty feminine vocal stylings and hypnotic guitar work ‘For the Wolfman’ is slated for release in late November 2012.


The band started as most bands do, meeting at high school as a group of friends. Lead singer Sophie Hopes and guitarist Matt Tanner shared a phenomenal musical chemistry with similar tastes, drummer Ethan Darnell set the backbone and foundation of the band that would soon be known as Tired Lion.
