Melbourne Indie darlings The April Maze are delighted to present their brand new original single Don’t Let the Bastards Bring You Down.

The April Maze are duo Todd Mayhew and Sivan Agam who formed 5 years ago but leapt into the global spotlight in late 2012 when their intimate stripped-back album ‘Two’ featured in the top 100 new releases on Spotify - the worlds largest streaming service. This was followed by a packed out East Coast Tour of glowing reviews and a growing fan base, whilst performing amidst floods and health scares.

Don’t Let the Bastards Bring You Down is a punchy, life-affirming song for the people, with a message of finding pride even in the darkest moments, and was inspired by Sivan’s own experiences of bullying as a child at school. Whilst their last album shot them into international recognition, this new single demonstrates that The April Maze are on the up-and-up and here to stay. Recorded at Sydney’s famous 301 studios with the award-winning production team of Tim Carr and Simon Todkill (the team behind Matt Corby’s ARIA song of the year ‘Brother’), Don’t Let the Bastards Bring You Down will be released on 26th April.
