Separatist are am experimental death metal band from Tasmania. They have been playing together in various forms for a few years now, but the current line-up has been playing since the start of 2006. With influences that range all the way from Tool to Psycroptic, Meshuggah to Dimmu Borgir, Separatist are a band thats not to be taken lightly...

In 2008 we released our debut album, The Motionless Apocalypse, and it recieved worldwide acclaim from sources like Metal Hammer and Blunt magazines. After the release of this album we began playing mainland Australian shows frequently, usually at least once a month, mostly as part of our Australian East Coast tour in support of our album.

We are currently working on our next album, due for release mid 2010, we can only hope it recieves as much positive feedback as the last one did!
