Chinchy is an electro-alterna-pop-rock band based in Townsville, Queensland. If Ween and Peaches made some babies and they formed a band it would be called Chinchy. It's catchy electro-rock with a twist of fun and a splash of crazy.
Chinchy formed in the year 2000, it was a magical year, Hillary Swank won the Academy Award for best actress, the Millennium Bug never really eventuated, Prince's futuristic mantra '1999' had run its course and a few other things happened as well.
So far Chinchy has cluttered the music stands with one full length album and an EP, played at venues throughout north Queensland and shared the stage with MGF, Butterfingers, Muph & Plutonic, and Taxi Ride.
