The Crooked Fiddle Band have been making festival and venue punters writhe with intensity for 5 years now, and each recording showcases a new evolution of the band's sound.

New single 'What the Thunder Said' is an edit of the epic, 15 minute closer to the debut album Overgrown Tales, recorded in 2011 by Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Gogol Bordello, Dirty Three). This time round, the musical direction takes less cues from a gypsy warehouse party and more from cinematic battle scenes, post-rock and Scandinavian landscapes.

""What the Thunder Said", the centerpiece of the album... which takes the listener in the heart of a cataclysmic storm, starting with the gentle spring breeze and ended in the terrible winter storm. A real journey for the imagination." - Forces Parralleles, France, March 2012.

tCFB are touring internationally May-August 2012, check the website for details!

Wild mash up of styles. Jess is giving the violin a solid workout. Which is a good thing. It deserves a flogging at times that bloody instrument. And...
