Re-Invention are a four peice Hardcore band from Brisbane, Australia. With Brutal Beatdowns, Heavy and Melodic riffs and a variety of Vocal talents, Re-Invention are defenetly one of the up and comming bands that will impress.

Brisbanes Re-Invention formed originally as a three piece covers band called Blindsight. As time went on the band grew tired of playing covers at parties and functions, and decided it was time to start writing original music.

But to write original music they needed a singer, so the bands Drummer Ty Skinner looked around and tried out various singers.

But there was one that stood out from them all Lachlan Paul, Locky or Coopa as the band call him had a voice that could lift the heavens and raise hell.

In 2003 the band started writing original music in the genre of Nu-Metal. Once Perfected the band took there four songs to Foxhole studios and recorded there first E.P (The Day Before).

Since then Re-Invention had been playing shows quite solidly and building quite a name for themselves.

In May 2005 Re-Inventions Bass Player left the band as he wanted to work rather then focus on his music, which put the band in quite a mess as the 2005 Battle of the bands was coming up. The band was on the prowl once again to find someone solid to fill the hole in the band. Scott Shannon (guitarist) recommended one of his closest mates James Shipton, and he filled the hole to its best intentions.

Since James was now in the band there music style was changing as the band found Nu-Metal to be to standard. As there individual music styles changed so did there music. After a lot of practicing the band came up with two songs in the genre of Hardcore to take to Battle of the Bands to tryout on the crowd This Hate & Prepare to be Crushed

The second Re-Invention got on that stage the judges new that they were going to win. The Band hammered out a six song set finishing off with their new two songs. The Judges were amazed and had never seen a band as young as Re-Invention play so good. The Band had won it and there prize was 12 hours at Modern Music Studios working with Dave Leonard and Stuart Niven on there amazing two new songs. Stuart and Dave have worked with bands such as Parkway Drive, The Butterfly Effect, Amity Affliction, Japunga, Mourningtide, Melodyssey, 28 Days, Bring me the Horizon, The Valley & Through closed eyes.

Since then the band have written 10 new songs played with great Australian Hardcore and Metal bands such as: Wish 4 WingsXXX, Against, From these Wounds, New Way Home (n.z), Avenge the Dead, Minus Life, Lynchmada, Tidal and plenty more.

Now Re-Invention are writing a bunch of new songs and playing as many gigs as possible trying to get there name Out there.
