Jade Starr's DreadCircus

"Not many musicians have captured the emotional confusion that being transgendered brings but Jade Starr has worn the t-shirt
and managed to write it down. Her lyrics are beautifully honest and bring tears to my eyes. On top of that she's gorgeous!"

DreadCircus is the unique musical journey of Australian Gender Optimized singer / songwriter Jade Starr. Songs that confront fear, love, gender, self awareness and equality that will leave you emotionally empowered and brimming with hope.

Accompanied by her backing band Kali Simpson-Goff (Vocals, Guitar, Keys), Lauren Allison (drums) and Melissa Stone (bass) prepare for a roller coaster ride of high energy rock and beautiful ballads. Jades amazing vocal abilities will bring tears to your eyes as you follow her story.

In 1 year DreadCircus have played across Australia @ Adelaide's Feast Festival, Melbourne Midsumma Festival, Sydney GLBT Mardi Gras, Lismore and are about to tour Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney & QLD from Nov 07, even USA, NZ & UK in 2008. DreadCircus have also been featured on TV, Radio, Print & Internet media and have a strong fanbase. With 3 available CD's, a NEW Live DVD and the NEW CD "Gender Optimized 2.0" almost finished for a December 07 release. The FUTURE looks bright for DreadCircus.

The Puzzle
rating:  4/5
With a beautifully painful aesthetic, The Puzzle is an honest self-reflective lyrical work of art.
