Cities of the Red Night are a band from Sydney, Australia. Formed in Feb 2006 by Richard Berndt (6string) and Matt Horam (drums/vox), they quickly captured Dan Kell (4string) and finalised the lineup with the lucky acquisition of Jo Packman (vox/flute).
Once all were safely inside the studio, all hell broke loose. The result is magical. The sound, when forced into a capsule of description, is one part Tool prog, one part Muse pop, one part Deftones groove, one part Radiohead atmosphere, and one part endogenous dimethyltryptamine. Delicate and brutal, they take the ear somewhere strange and familiar. You need to go there.

What a unique sound. We think that it's going to take most people a while to get used what you're doing with your music but keep it up.
