like a hitch-hiker on a dark lonely street, its time to meet your lover! hailing from newcastle, nsw, lover are a three piece gloom-pop-indie-rock act drawing inspiration from the likes of xtc , the cure, and bloc party. lover are a reputed hard-working band, constantly touring the east coast over the past 12 months, performing alongside datarock (norway), lost valentinos, midnight juggernauts, damn arms, young & restless, dukes of windsor, mercy arms, sparkadia, the mess hall, after the fall & Expatriate. their 2007 self titled debut release, turned heads with the award winning dance floor cutter ‘never’ (2006 abc newcastle music awards, best rock performance), recorded under the sonic guidance of four time aria award nominee rob taylor (the whitlams, inxs).

theres some nice playing.... but overall a bland and boring track that sounds very uninspired and very similar to alot of bands around at the moment....
