The Story So Far...
During their 3 years together Fire Underground have built a solid live reputation. As a two piece Daniel (vocals/guitar/piano/clarinet) and Doyle (drums/backup vocals) played over 150 shows all over Australia, and in late 2006 completed their first ever overseas tour, taking in shows in the US, Canada before heading to Europe to play London, Berlin and Amsterdam and appeared at this year’s Pushover festival in Melbourne supporting Australian icons Silverchair, one of only two bands to be voted onto the festival by fans.
Drawing influence from everything from rock'n'roll to swing music and combining it with the high energy and intensity of punk bands like The Stooges, Refused and The Hives, Fire Underground have developed their own style that is highly entertaining to watch live, is powerful but fun, and thoroughly danceable.
Thanks to their high energy shows and wide ranging musical style they've been able to play with bands of many genres such as Youth Group, The Grates, The Black Keys (USA), Midnight Juggernauts and Frenzal Rhomb to name just a few. During this time they released two EPs which received airplay on Triple J and rage and had their song 'Chase Scene' selected as the theme for music TV show 'On The Couch', (watched by an estimated 200,000 people a week) and featured on indie blogsite Stereogum.com (where it was downloaded over 3000 times), all the while offering all their music as free downloads from their website.
Since returning home from overseas the band found their new material demanding a bigger sound and consequently added friend Ben Hall on bass to the line up and have just finished recording a new EP 'Seize The Day' for release late 2007.

Love this one! Fast paced and energetic and reallllly easy to relate to if, like me, you're still stuck in school. Great stuff.
