“I have listened to the EP about three times and must say that I am impressed with the sound and emotion contained within the compositions.” - Peter Merritt, 106.7 PBSfm.

Ten years since they played an awful, one-off, gig in middle school in Singapore, Aki and Kota bumped into each other again on the streets of Melbourne and instantly decided to start a band that "doesn't suck".

Aural Window was formed and has since built an army of loyal fans with their catchy pop hooks and blistering guitar driven sound, rocking out venues such as The Tote, Pony, Revolver and Ding Dong Lounge.

A four-track demo EP was recorded and given away and one copy reached ARIA award winning producer, Paul McKercher, who said Tale of the Hours was his “favourite track with its strong melody”.

In June 2007, the band launched their debut EP, No Trust in the Morrow, at a jam-packed show at Melbourne’s famed The Arthouse.

Acclaimed engineer, Chris Paroz, who has worked with artists such as David Norland, Tania Doko, and Perla La, said that it was Aural Window’s raw energy and their ability to write strong, compelling songs with meaningful lyrics that attracted him to work on this EP.

“There is nothing more exciting than being part of the creative process of a new, great sounding band that’s full enthusiasm. I am honoured to have been included in the project”, Paroz said.

Tracks from the EP have enjoyed high rotations on Melbourne community radio PBS106.7 and SYN90.7 with Japan’s COCOLO FM to follow in the coming weeks.

The band is currently planning an Australian East Coast tour in conjunction with the release of their debut EP and a Japan tour in late 2008.

• ARIA award winning producer Paul McKercher calls Tale of the Hours, a track off Aural Window’s demo EP, his “favourite track with its strong melody”.

• Drug of Choice from the band’s debut EP, No Trust in the Morrow, is now 5th week No.1 on SYN 90.7FM's The Hoist List, as voted by listeners.

• Aural Window played at the 2007 Melbourne University Night Market to 2000 punters.

• The track Head Start was one of Top 100 in the Alternative category in MusicOz Awards 2006.

• The band cites their influences as a mixture of AFI, Muse and SAOSIN. They have received guitar pod tones from SAOSIN guitarist, Beau, to further experiment with new sounds.
