Beth’n’Ben’s songwriting spans from Blues, Roots, and Reggae to Jazz, Soul and Rock tunes. Their fusion of genre, and tongue in cheek writing style consistently turn heads and get the crowd moving wherever they go. After doing the solo thing and playing in other bands around Canberra for six years the duo teamed up in mid 2009, and have had a ball with collaboration playing up and down the east coast of Australia.
The duo released their debut EP, Boarding Pass, through Green Media on the October 15th 2010 after being signed to Indie label, Manga Republic and toured it to Brisbane, the Gold Coast, Sydney, and Melbourne before returning to Canberra to play the Australia Day pre fireworks entertainment to over a thousand people.
Beth n Ben’s track ‘Little Lady’ has had some great success on Triple J Unearthed Roots Chart since being uploaded late 2010 with two weeks at #1, seven weeks in the top 5, ten weeks in the top 10, and four and a half months in the top 25.
It also received some airplay from Sarah Howles on Triple J show ‘Root N All’ for a few weeks.
The duo continued to promote Boarding Pass with a bunch of gigs in 2011 including a main stage set at Summer Rhythm festival along side the Beautiful Girls, the Sea Shepherd fundraiser with Captain Paul Watson, a support set for Chris Isaak as part of the Enlighten Festival, and a Main Stage set at the Love jam Festival in Bondi. Beth n Ben played their last band set supporting The Panda Band at ANU Bar on August 17th before taking some to finish off to head back into Monstereo Studios to finish off their next EP Economy Class, which was released nationwide October 14th preceding their EP Launch on Sunday October 16th.
The duo then took off on an east coast tour over October and November, before taking the band on the road for a month in January and February including a set on the Lyrebird stage at Peats Ridge Festival, and the 2nd headline on the Lakeview stage at the Northern Beaches Music Festival in Sydney.
The band is back in the studio working on EP #3 ‘Scenic Roots’ and preparing for two more tours in April and May.

Complete with rhythms to make you move and themes to lift the soul; the infectious vocals from Beth n Ben are icing on the lyrical cake. This is a must have EP in any serious OZ-music loving fans collection!
