Every once in a while your grandparents make an outlandish (at best) promise and unwittingly have to make good. For me, the year was 1992 and the promise was to a small child with a little wooden recorder in hand. "Hey if you can play a song on that, I'll get you any instrument you would like..."

8 bars of "mary had a little lamb" later and the boy was sizing up saxaphones down at the local music store. The natural progression went from sax to clarinet to piano obviously.

This brings us to the here and now.
