Out of the bushland and fresh on the scene with his debut EP (What's in the Box?), Mc Dukebox is not your average Indigenous country boy when it comes to musical talent. Dukebox is one half of established hip hop duo VITAL HEIGHTS and has been storming the landscape since early 2007 playing shows and doing freestyle street performances. Music has played a huge part in Dukes' life ever since he can... remember, being raised as an only child by his grand parents exposed him to a large number of country and western musicians such as; Johnny Cash, Slim Dusty and Charlie Pride to name a few. Duke believes it was these influences that helped build the foundation for his inspirational songwriting ability. Recently Dukebox entered into the Gadigal Emerging Indigenous Artist Competition where he was selected as one of three winners from around NSW. This meant that Duke would receive the oppertunity to professionally record and distribute his debut EP throughout Australia and on iTunes. After spending a week in the studio working with veteran Indigenous producer/mc and host of Koori radio Munkimuk (Mark Ross), Duke has completed a 6 track EP titled What's in the Box?
The EP features legendary Blues player Buddy Knox and a guest appearance from The Stiff Ginns.

What's in the Box? will be released on Oct 27th with an official EP launch at the Gaelic Club in Sydney featuring special guest performances from White House and Yung Nooky.
