Growing up on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, Ed Worland has always been close to the ocean. Having surfed since he can remember, Ed is true a waterman at heart, and his love for sea flows through his music. His songs are rinsed with the laid-back attitude and soul developed by spending years living by the beach.

Ed began writing songs in high school, having played the guitar since the age of 11 and being brought up with influences such as Ben Harper, Bob Dylan, Bob Marley and Neil Young. These artists made up the soundtrack to lazy post-surf afternoons and throughout his teenage years; Ed fine-tuned his ability, developing into a talented singer-songwriter himself.

His sound is a varied blend of loose blues, campfire acoustic, rock and light reggae. Taking in what is most important to him; friends, family and his environment to create gentle, genuine, heart-felt songs.

Occasionally, Ed is joined by his band, The Green Teas where he is able to extend his talents into heavier blues and pure reggae with the help of a guitar-bass-drum trio.
