For a lass that can drive a tractor Fanny Lumsden is taking to the Sydney gig and festival trail like a duck to water. Her sunshine-covered folkabilly tunes are mix between a hoedown in your nanna’s garden and a drive across an open plain.

In the six short months since releasing her debut EP ‘I Need Words’, Fanny Lumsden and her new band (her Glorious Whores) have played at many of Sydney's most notable venues including The Basement, The Vanguard, Oxford Arts Factory and the Annandale with headline shows and supporting the likes of Daniel Merriweather, Crooked Fiddle Band and the Barons of Tang. This last half year has also seen the Fanny and her Band gather up speed performing at Sydney Fringe Festival, headlining Time Out's Sydney Bar Awards, play at Peats Ridge Festival, Jurassic Lounge, The Man from Snowy River Bush Festival and be selected for Secret Garden Festival.
The gleeful track Firing Line, which features Leroy Lee on Banjo and Harmonica was recorded with producer Ian Pritchett (Angus & Julia Stone, The Beautiful Girls). Whatever the weather Fanny Lumsden and her glorious band will certainly get your toes tapping so come and shake your tail feather!

This is cute without being gimmicky - a hard thing to do when it comes to gleeful banjo jams. Ace.
