So this is sort of how it all happened:
Daniel Moss had known Ash Hunter for years, and Ash Hunter had known Daniel Moss for equally the same amount of years. Ash called Daniel by the nickname Mossy and Mossy called Ash when he decided to start a band.
They both played guitar but their washed out guitar ambience was only fulfilling them so far. Daniel knew a bass player named Erik Rene and suggested that he join the band. Erik knew a drummer named Sumner Fish and suggested that he also join the band. Mossy introduced Erik to Ash and Erik introduced Mossy and Ash to Sumner and so they began writing songs. They recorded an EP entitled ‘Fifteen Thirty Three’, released it on their own label ‘We Swimmers’ and played some shows around Australia.
They are now currently writing and recording their follow up EP. It sees them further expand on their hypnotic rhythms, ambient textures and dreamy melodies.
Together they are known as I, a Man.
Separately they are lonely and often want to be back together.

Indie rock with a dash of prog and a breezy feel. It's smart, it's melodic, and it's pretty darn catchy.

Throw in a bit of prog, a hint of math rock, a dose of hippy folk, a touch of West Coast AOR and it will probably not sound much like I, a Man. But t...

These guys remind me why I love guitar bands again, it's slightly droning and twanging but that's why it works. Lovely bass work and vocals too. So k...
