For many years Ilona Harker has been brewing songs secretly in her head, as a gun for hire in Butterfingers and Sugartown, Ilona was still wanting more.
Not so long ago she decided to purge herself and putting pen to paper and fingers on strings she began performing her own material and after encouragement in France last year with the producer Marc Colin from Nouvelle Vague Ilona decided to put her own CD out.
Ilona has just finished recording her debut album 'that which lasts' with Jodi Phillis (The Clouds fame) and her equally reknown partner Tim Oxley.
Ilona takes her listeners into deep dark lush country where her wilds consume you and you are left wanting for more of her voodoo. Ilona has been described as folk noir and country music's love child of Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits. Ilona weaves sultry smokey lyrics into a border-country sound scape that is infused with irish whisky.
