Jenny Broke the Window are an indie/pop band from the South Coast of NSW, Australia. Their sound is dynamic, edgy and charged using samples, dance drum patterns, layered vocals and stabbing synths for a unique and bouncy sound. Over the past three years, the boys have developed an individual blend of pop, which has had good success in the Triple J Unearthed charts, reaching a pretty darn impressive No.1 spot on the indie chart.
The band was established in 2009 and is made up of brothers Sam Lathlean (Guitar VOX) and Matt Lathlean (Keys) alongside good mates Matt McCaffery (Bass), Todd Simpson (Percussion), and Joel van Gastel (Drums).
In 2010 the boys released their debut EP called “Another Summer” with one of the stand out tracks being ‘Fancy Dress’, which received rave reviews from music blogs all around the world.
'Fancy Dress' was asked to feature on a cover mounted CD on Australia's YEN Magazine alongside Australian artists such as Lisa Mitchell (June 2012), while their track 'Fire Brigade' features on the 10th Anniversary special in the December 2012 Edition.
JBTW spent 2011 and 2012 playing shows at Oxford Art Factory, The Australian Museum’s Jurassic Lounge and playing regular slots at MUM, World Bar. They also toured with Tin Sparrow and have been lucky enough to share the stage with bands such as Bluejuice, Hungry kids of Hungary, Sticky Fingers, The Holidays, Papa vs. Pretty, New Navy and Owl Eyes.
JBTW have already had a busy 2013, they’ve recorded two new singles with the help of acclaimed Sydney producer Tony Buchen. Tony has produced work for Andy Bull, Loon Lake, Lisa Mitchell, Washington, WIM and The Preatures to name a few. Their first single for 2013 ‘Ravel’ is being released on the 11th February 2013.

I feel like there are 6 different songs in here all trying to get out. But, strangely enough, it works.

Ace new song guys, beautifully produced and with unreal energy. It doesn't repeat itself either; some great variety going on and total pop hooks. Nic...

Really tightly wound indie pop out of Sydney here. Fittingly, it uncoils at great pace with hooks and grins spilling out at will.

Whoever's on keys here must be a legit mad genius as this is a marvelous pop number. Great songwriting smarts too, you can tell.
