Just Matters
Guitarist Samuel Vincent & vocalist Jamie Lindsay met in Melbourne in 2001.
It was pure coincidence that both were moving to Sydney later that year.
Once in Sydney they began working together as the acoustic duo ‘The Sam and Jamie Show’ with a weekly residency at the Hard Rock Cafe.
From then to now, S&J have written and recorded many songs and have worked with producers such as Tim Farriss (INXS) and the legendary Harry Vanda (Easybeats, Vanda & Young and AC/DC).
Working with these industry greats proved to be a massive learning curve for the duo, it immediately inspired them to set up their own studio.
In 2007, S&J decided it was time to take their studio project to the live stage.
Drummer/Percussionist Dave Ferry met the duo mid 2007 at one of their acoustic performances in Sydney.
After witnessing Dave’s drumming ability it was obvious that he was to be the drummer for KQF.
The name Kings Queens & Fairytales is a line taken from one of their songs called ‘Let me take you down”.
